And what kind of story? Where Hulk gets sent to another planet and becomes the eventual ruler of it? Or do you want the mcu to spin their own unique tale?

I would have enjoyed an Emperor Hulk solo film...but then they kind of used part of that plot in Ragnarok and glossed over it in She Hulk and now it feels like a cheesecake thats been left on the counter for a few too many hours and its gotten to room temperature and youre not sure a fly hasn't landed on it and theres something on the crust that might or might not be cheesecake.
Probably best to just go for a few oreos or something.

Too late. They took him through a full arc already. Professor Hulk was a good stopping point. They should just reboot the m*****f***er.

A solo Hulk film is precisely the movie the MCU needs right now. Any story or plot will do, but here's my pitch.
If the rumors are true, it's unfortunate that Samuel Sterns will be used in the next Captain America film instead of where he truly belongs—in a proper Hulk film.
Thematically, we need to get back to basics with the character while adding a slightly new twist. I'd like to see a brains vs. brawn contest involving the emerald giant and an intelligent and cunning adversary. Alas, the Leader likely won't/can't be that villain.
There is one other advanced adversary the Hulk has not yet faced on screen. This individual is the single most qualified person with the best chance of permanently defeating the Hulk; his name is Robert Bruce Banner.
Yes, I would immediately change the current status quo and open a new Hulk movie with a total regression from the smart Hulk back to the savage Hulk. Maybe Banner triggers the regression in an attempt to master his transformations further.
After struggling with the creature's unpredictable moods and wanton violence, Banner resolves to find a permanent cure. He succeeds in physically separating himself from the Hulk through magic (possibly with the help of Dr. Strange), science, or some combination of both.
Freed from the creature, Banner, backed by the US government, embarks on a mission to exterminate the Hulk, and he is prepared. I imagine a battle of raw strength vs. will as Banner deploys mind-bogglingly advanced technology against the creature while doubting if any weapon can contain or kill the Hulk.
Believing the creature to be completely mindless and a threat to the planet, The (new) Avengers attempt to circumvent Banner's authority and stop the Hulk alone. They get their asses promptly handed to them.
All the while, the Hulk is cutting a swath of destruction through the planet, and his body count keeps getting higher with each encounter.
Is the creature completely mindless? Does it have an agenda? Is there any force in existence that can stop The Immortal Hulk?

I know it's derivative but he looks cool lol

I see merging once again with the Hulk to be the solution if they ever split, thereby compounding the tragedy of their dual existence. I never cared for story lines where heroes wished to give up their powers. It's not a point of view with which I easily sympathize because powers in and of themselves are a retreat into being special, and unlike most people I know, I don't believe being special hinges on everyone else being normal, whatever that means, but rather that every set of powers are special in their own way. What you do with them helps define what you are. I've always felt the burden was worth it because powers, to me, are metaphors for what makes people different. It's what people do with them that makes them special. We are different, but how much society forces the differences between us to matter is a different story.
Hulk is one of few exceptions to that rule because he has so little control over himself in Hulk form. I've always liked the idea that beneath all his scientific knowledge and neuroses beats the heart of a good person who tries to do good even when blacked out from his higher self, as if he's subconsciously a good person even more than he is consciously a good person. Failing to rid himself of being the Hulk is one of his most enduring qualities. He's one of few who I think is sincerely tortured by his powers.
I like your idea because if there were ever a format to run an angle where Banner is cured, it would be a one-shot movie that can't necessarily be stretched out into a series or bunch of sequels. I think a one-shot version of your idea has the potential to be definitive.
My guess and or take as to how it ends is Banner melds back into the Hulk somehow because of the principle that with at least one hand on the wheel he can still steer. At this point it drives home the sacrifice angle that's a part of his character and relegates Bruce to carrying the burden. I think he's one of few characters who has a legitimate excuse to be a martyr, which I maintain is not even remotely fun, but rather something inflicted on an (often unwilling) victim.
More than anything I enjoy the food for thought. Cool.

Glad you like it. I can't take credit for the concept. If Hollywood would take the time to look, it's all there in the source material. All I did was curate it, dress it up, and right-size it for the MCU. You're absolutely right about the resolution. Banner and the Hulk must be reunited to have a satisfying ending. I see a push-pull dynamic where as the Hulk becomes stronger, Banner becomes weaker. Conversely, as Bruce becomes more focused, the Hulk descends further into savagery. They need each other to restore balance. I agree that the Hulk is one of the few characters who would want to permanently lose his "powers" because he cannot control them. It's one of the most compelling aspects of the character. For a story like this to work, the character development of Banner is key. Understanding his desires, self-perception, and values is crucial to the narrative's success. I see Betty working at his side as an equal who is perceptive and intuitive enough to understand the fundamental connection between Bruce and the Hulk. In contrast, Bruce refuses to believe or accept any connection between the two once freed from the creature. The Hulk is an error in his personality he wishes to obliterate. A supernatural element could also be seamlessly integrated into this story, as they've been getting a lot of mileage out of this approach in recent comic book runs. I wouldn't go to a full-on horror movie, but some body horror here and there might surprise audiences. Watching Bruce physically struggle to separate himself from the Hulk would be visually interesting. I see The Avengers or Banner deploying weapons that seem to incinerate the Hulk from within - only to discover - with mounting horror - his remains slowly reconstituting themselves. I could also see Banner and Hulk's confrontation moving to the astral plane, where the Hulk's physical strength would mean nothing and could hold the key to temporarily subduing the creature. Banner would be just as strong and as fast as the Hulk, just not as savage. I see the Hulk trying to pull a Loki on Banner - but Bruce just rises from the crater ready for more. My reasons for including Doctor Strange are selfish in that I'd like to backdoor an OG Defenders spin-off. There's psychological drama, supernatural spectacle, and traditional action and adventure elements for those who just want to see the Hulk smash things --- and people. This stuff writes itself if you have a subscription to Marvel Unlimited. I just don't see why it escapes the studios so frequently.
