I just bought a Craftsman battery powered drill, and a DeWalt battery powered shop vacuum.
The drill was less expensive. And the drill, battery and battery charger don't ever get hot. The battery came with the drill. And you get a reusable storage case.
The vacuum is great for everything --- shop, car, house, etc. The battery recharges from dead to full in 20 minutes. But --- it cost more, the vacuum, battery and charger were all sold separately. They all get hot. And there is no reusable storage case.
I haven't had them long enough to know which one will last longer. (And the DeWalt vacuum I bought brand new, was used and dirty. But I don't know who to blame DeWalt or Lowe's.)
What do you think?
Which do you prefer?

Dewalt is better for commercial work and therefore better quality than Craftsman, imo. But if its just for around the house I don't think theres as much difference. You wont get the use out of it to make a whole lot of difference.
I did go Dewalt with my hedgeclippers I bought earlier this year and so far have had no problem with them. But like I said I don't think theres much difference for personal residential use.

The biggest issue I’ve ever had with craftsman drills is the chuck can come loose as it ages. But you just may have to tighten it down more often if you notice that.

It just seems like Craftsman gives a better deal for the customer. Even though everybody says DeWalt is better.
