I couldn't be prouder of this aging curmudgeon, contradictions and all. And I am deeply sorry for admittedly being one of those fans who turned him off from the convention circuit. Stay complicated, you drug-addled, high priest of doom.

I wonder when he dies, who will play him in the inevitable biographical drama. Implying that he won't just rise from the grave to keep complaining about everything... I wouldn't put it past him. He is definitely a complainer, but I respectfully point out that he's not wrong most often, and people keep asking him - he never goes out of his way to volunteer his complaints. If you're tired of hearing him complain, invite the media to stop asking the same questions. It's not like he ever reverses himself or says anything different concerning his feelings on his movie adaptations or the comic book industry. He has been hard on Miller's work in the last few years, but in all fairness, they were never simpatico when they were active in the comic book industry.

That wasn't a complaint about his complaining. A mere jest, my friend.

I'm defensive of Mr. Moore because he gave me the impetus to start pursuing writing seriously, and I'll be forever grateful for his guidance. That said, I definitely crossed his personal boundaries in seeking his wisdom - and he must have left our interaction thinking I was a crazy person.

I have always been a fan of those who put their personal convictions ahead of money.

I've probably met a dozen "celebrities" in my time; very few come off as larger than life when you meet them. I've never lost my cool or started acting foolish just because I was talking to a famous person. I'm notorious for being a relatively cool customer, sometimes even forgetting to get autographs, selfies, and other coveted keepsakes people often hound celebrities for.
When I met Alan Moore, it was like meeting an actual sorcerer. The man radiates some type of reality-altering energy that hollows you out. It's tough to describe…. It could have been his beard oil, for all I know. I was sweating profusely and felt like I was vibrating out of this universe. He's a genuine wizard! It's the only logical explanation.

Ah, alright then. So he'll be played by Daniel Ratcliffe then.
