That dude sounds almost as inert as Cavill.

Well, I've only seen Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman in the beginning of Supergirl Season 2 (I'm WAY behind with my watching of the DC shows on Blu-ray), but I actually liked his interpretation of the character better than Cavill's (from what little I saw of it). No, his voiceover in that^ trailer doesn't have much emotion behind it...but that might just be the awkwardness of a trailer. I'm not going to judge his performance in the show until I actually watch it (which probably won't be for a while). The thing I'm most worried about - Clark and Lois having a kid?? Booooo! Kid characters (most of the time) ruin shows/movies. Blech.

The CW has announced that the newest Arrowverse series “Superman & Lois” will be getting an expanded two-hour premiere event on February 23rd.
The night will boast the 90-minute long first episode at 8pm followed by the half-hour special “Superman & Lois: Legacy of Hope” at 9:30pm.
That special will feature sneak peeks and interviews with cast of the new series that stars Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch. Special guests will also be on hand to discuss the legacy of the Man of Steel.
As a result of this, the upcoming seventh season premiere of “The Flash” has been delayed a week and is now expected to return on Tuesday, March 2nd.

The show's title certainly doesn't have the same ring to it as Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman did, that's for sure.
Though at least this^ trailer is better than the first one. I already like the look of it more than DCEU Superman (kids, though? Ugh). It may be an 'unpopular' opinion, but I actually prefer Tyler Hoechlin's Clark Kent/Superman to Henry Cavill's. It's also good to see Elizabeth Tulloch in something after Grimm (I still remember when she went by the first name 'Bitsie' in that show. I can see why she changed it).
Anyway, here's hoping for some guest star appearances by Superman's cousin on his show (it's only fair, since he got his start on her show).

A friend felt it had man of steel vibes

I really don't want to deal with angsty teenagers. I hope there isn't too much of that.

That's actually a pretty impressive "Clark Kent" Well, it's certainly better than whatever the hell Cavill was doing (honestly, I could never tell any difference between his Kal-El, Clark Kent or Superman). At least Hoechlin's making an effort to differentiate the different personalities of the person he's playing.

I can not muster any excitement for this. They were OK in small doses on the various Arrowverse crossovers. Reading the description of the show doesn't sound so great. Just like I could not get into Supergirl but she was alright on the crossovers.

Well all I can say that Elizabeth Tulloch was easily the worst of Grimm, a show I love very very much. I hope she doesnt frack up this show too.

I am not a big fan of this version of superman or Lois. Especially after he cut off his own nutsack and handed it over to Supergirl and basically told her she's the greatest and he's not worthy. I think she was even portrayed that way that she is more powerful than he is. Not that there's anything wrong with a woman being equally powerful, but more powerful? This is Superman! the icon

Overall it was quite good for premier. However, as I feared, the kids were awful. I really hope they don't take over the show.

I watched it Sat night, it was good but not great, not sure what to expect next week.
The look and tone matches up pretty well with Superman Returns, so one could imagine it as a sequel series to that, if one were so inclined.
I was pretty disappointed to hear that was Luthor in the suit.
