He can, and it might kill the MCU. Not for just a few fans, either. I'm talking about a total collapse. Like I said, as someone who loves the MCU for its pureness and good continuity Im very anxious about this movie. It all depends on how and what so Im not gonna make bold claims just yet. However the moment Im gonna stick to the Infinity Saga and not caring about the rest could happen.

But Garfield and MacGuire are also rumored for Dr Strange, which Scott Derrickson all but confirmed by tweeting that the old Spidey films are mcu canon. Sony has no influence over Dr Strange. Like or not, this is almost certainly Feige’s idea. He also tweeted it was a joke to rattle people up. Dont Trumpatize this. FAKE NEWS. SAD!

Derrickson tweeted that all Spiderman movies were MCU canon now. After some websites took it seriously a day later he tweeted it was meant as a joke.

You gotta admit though.... a multiverse Sinister Six Spidey movie with three Spideys fighting together does sound kind of awesome.
I think this idea may be growing on me a bit to be honest.

Yes but can they keep that outside the MCU. Like in the Sony Spiderverse. I misread this before. Disregard the last post. I suppose they could’ve done it separately, but this way they’re building off of whatever occurs in Dr Strange 2! That’s kinda neat, isn’t it?

The rumored title of HOMESICK makes a lot more sense, if he is stuck jumping through the multiverse ( Quantum Leap style )

Please tell me you dont think Raimi's MJ os comic accurate? Raimi reduced a strong empathic woman into a selfish McGuffin Scream Queen. Kirsten Dunst may look the part but her character was written terribly. Mary Jane Watson was the worst part of the Raimi Spider-man trilogy. Zendaya's Michelle Jones may not look like her comic book counterpart but characterwise she is more MJ than Dunst ever was.

I don't like either version. The only 'love interest' I've liked in any of the SM movies was Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy. At least she wasn't horrible to Peter. And just to be clear, it doesn't bother me if MJ has red hair or is of a different race or whatever. I would've been perfectly content with Liz from SMH turning out to be MJ because at least she was a decent person.

She likes him a lot, loves him even but is an insecure teenager who creates a shield so it wont hurt so much when Peter looks at other girls (Liz) . I think its written and acted very naturally.

When watching SMH, I didn't even get the sense that she liked him, much less would ever love him. Every single thing out of her mouth in that movie seemed to be something negative (and if it wasn't something she said, then it was something she did/some gesture - Peter gives her a friendly wave, she returns it with a middle finger). I've seen others mention how Michelle acts is how teenagers are these days...and I find that rather depressing. I do get tired of these characters who are nothing but unfriendly/horrible to other characters, but we're meant to sympathise with them because of whatever childhood trauma they had or something else that's meant to 'explain' the way they are. I've seen lots of characters who've had lots of bad stuff happen to them...yet they don't act perpetually negative to everyone. I just got tired of her constant negativity throughout the first film. Liz, meanwhile, was nice/friendly and a decent person to Peter, which was why I liked her. By contrast, at the end of the film I couldn't even understand why Peter kept approaching Michelle given the way she'd treated him throughout. I haven't seen the second film (SMFFH), so maybe Michelle is less extreme in that one. I'll see for myself whenever it's eventually on TV here and I record it to watch.

The fact you havent seen FFH explains a bit. She definitely is a better person to Peter in the second movie

No, neither MJ is comic accurate per se. I was talking about the possibility of a shiny brand new MJ from the multiverse!

And yet we both know they're not going to do that. We can dream though. We can dream. You can dream. I like the MCU SPider-Man films exactly the way they are.
