Our current tally stands at:
Rogue One - 4 votes
Revenge of the Sith - 3 votes
Force Awakens - 2 votes
Voting for this round will close some time this afternoon, around 2-ish. So let's rally around and get TFA off the ballot!

I myself am not going to vote for "THE FORCE AWAKENS".
I actually think that it is better, more entertaining, and more fun to watch than "REVENGE OF THE SITH" is.

Well, the voting for Round 7 has closed, folks, and it's another slaughter of the mediocre: Revenge of the Sith - 4 votes Rogue One - 4 votes Force Awakens - 2 votes (we originally had a count of 16.5 votes, but further investigation uncovered ballot-box stuffing. I promise not to do it again.) Don't know what happened Anakin, you had the high ground: Rogue One, you've been the best of the Disney Star Wars films, so far, you should have outlasted TFA: On to Round 8: Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977) Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980) Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983) The Mandolorian: Season One (2019) Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) The tension mounts! Who will be next to be eliminated?

Much like how arararchstanton couldn't choose between the films in the MCU Survivor Game, I cannot choose between the remaining films in this game. The important thing is that I've completed my mission, having successfully destroyed voted out all of my least favourite Star Wars films. There were some casualties along the way, and I lost a few that I would've liked to have seen outlast other ones. But at least now I can be at peace, knowing that only my favourite Star Wars films (and the first season of a TV series I haven't watched yet) remain in the game.

Oh the hate that Return of the Jedi always receives. I don't get it. Are there any scenes- any scenes at all - in TFA, Rogue One, or the Mandolorian that compare to this... ? I can't name one.

Oh the hate that Return of the Jedi always receives. I don't get it. Are there any scenes- any scenes at all - in TFA, Rogue One, or the Mandolorian that compare to this... ? I can't name one. That's^ my favourite scene from Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (and possibly my favourite scene from all SW movies). I've never understood the 'hate' for RotJ either. For me it's one of very few examples where a third film in a trilogy hasn't completely dropped the ball (like so many third movies in trilogies seem to have a nasty habit of doing). The only 'slow' part for me in the movie is C-3PO and R2-D2 getting to Jabba's Palace. I compare it with the segment of 3PO and R2 first arriving on Tatooine in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope as far as long boring stretches are concerned (everything from when they land to when they meet Luke and Uncle Owen I find to be boring as hell). The difference is the Jabba's Palace stuff from RotJ was at least interesting to look at (all those weird creatures), things pick up once Chewie and Lando appear, then by the time Leia shows up, I'm no longer bored. Luke's arrival is when things get really interesting). Meanwhile, the Sandcrawler segment from ANH felt as slow-moving as the Sandcrawler itself (to me, anyway), and that's why I rank RotJ slightly above ANH. But I digress. You're right, the scene of Luke facing Vader in RotJ has no equal in the new films...but neither does anything in the prequels come close to it either. The lighting, the music, Luke's release of anger, him forcing Vader back, the uncontrollable ferocity that Luke unleashes on Vader culminating in paying him back for cutting off his hand is unmatched (for the longest time I had no clue what Luke was yelling after Vader said "Then perhaps she will.", and only in the last few years did I discover he is yelling "NEVER!!!").

Wow, has it been three days since the last round ended? OK, sorry about that, folks. And the final results: The Force Awakens - 5 votes Return of the Jedi - 3 votes Meaning that the Farce Bakens is cooked: On to Round 9 and the remaining contenders are: Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977) Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980) Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983) The Mandolorian: Season One (2019) Who's next to be eliminated?

Return of the Jedi
On a side note, I also still haven’t seen The Mandalorian, but that would be my next pick (if Jedi is eliminated this round).
