With that said, it's amazing V2 still exists. I predict it won't for much longer, though. Well, it owes its existence to the sudden demise of the IMDb message boards and it's certainly had a chequered career, but what makes you think it won't last much longer? It's not that I doubt you, but I'd be very interested to read your reasoning. You can't build on sustainable community by favoring trolls. Message boards live and die by their ability to keep conversations, real conversations, going, and at the rate it's bleeding legitimate users who want to have conversations about their favorite movies, TV, sports, and whatnot, it won't last.

I see your point. Constant and unrelenting conflict and drama might be distracting and even entertaining... but only in the short term. After a certain period of time, many posters prefer something more rewarding and substantial.

People can talk about how corporations read our posts and didn't like how we criticized their movies all they want, but I think we all know that had nothing to do with the IMDb boards closed down. It was the fact they'd become a total cesspool of neverending drama and the staff just couldn't keep it under control. It was the battlegrounds of toxic fandom and in the end, every visit to the place became a battle of some kind. Nobody is going to want to manage that in the long-term, so they killed it. And John will grow weary of what goes on in his boards sooner or later, and do the same.

Perhaps he'll grow tired of the failure and rejection?

They had each other's phone numbers and he came onto her over texts via sending dick pics her way. I wish I was joking.

In any case, I find the cancel culture highly entertaining... from a distance. I wouldn't want to get too close to it, as it might be bad for one's health. However, it has taught me the value and wisdom of physical media... Of which I'm pleased to say I own an enormous quantity. Those is charge might be able to censor what they broadcast or stream, but they can't alter my CDs, DVDs, audio cassettes and video cassettes.

It's a wonder that DC-Fan hasn't returned. Yet.
