Since we're on the subject of Bond.... What are your thoughts on this one?
I'm a huge fan of Craig in the role, I love CR and SF, I want to be hyped for his final movie... But I just honestly think it looks terrible. Everytime I watch that trailer I lose more and more interest in it.

I enjoyed the Daniel Craig series (even Spectre which did have problems) so I’ll probably enjoy this one. I wonder how the daughter subplot will play out?

Well, I'm not overly excited for it (though I'm interested in seeing the first 'Bond girl' to be in a second film - at least that I can recall. Have any other 'Bond girls' ever appeared in more than one Bond film? If so, I don't remember). I'm sure things won't go too well for Léa Seydoux's character of Madeleine Swann (it'd be great if the movie subverted the obvious and had her neither die nor turn out to be 'bad' - but I think that's pretty unlikely). I'm also eager to see Ana de Armas' character (I'm hoping she doesn't turn out to be 'bad' either...but, again, I'm fairly certain that won't be the case). I didn't hate Spectre. This last movie could go a number of ways - it could end Craig's 'era' on a 'high note', it could be a disaster or it could just be 'decent' (I'm sure a lot of people will say it wasn't as 'good' as Skyfall - though, personally, that's the one movie of Daniel Craig's that I can't bring myself to rewatch).

I believe Sylvia Trench (Eunice Gayson) was Bonds girlfriend in the first two Bond movies, Dr. No and From Russia With Love. She is considered the first Bond girl actually.

The huge success of Casino Royale and Skyfall convinced them that every Craig film had to be a huge personal opera, and I think they might should have steered back towards a shorter action based unique villain angle. Turn the wheel halfway back in the direction of Quantum. The most unfortunate thing of the Craig run has been the delays. He could have easily had two more films if the franchise wasn’t tied up in legal rights holding matters.

Skyfall managed to give Bond a good arc where he deals with the loss of his parents but Spectre went way too far by making Blofeld his adopted brother. I think No Time is making the same mistake though in trying to repeat the Vesper betrayal with whatshername (she was so boring of a Bond girl I literally forget her name!). Sometimes it's best to just prioritize the plot because Bond really isn't that complex of a character to examine. Yes. The delays were awful. Hard to say if Craig would've done two more though. I kind of doubt it given his attitude.

I’m hopeful for No Time To Die because the idea of bringing back Dr No for Craig’s last mission is pretty damn cool. But I can’t help but agree that it’s seeming more SPECTREish. Why did SPECTRE have to try to tie in Silva? It’s not like Goldfinger was tied into them. It’s a completely incessant connection. Makes the world seem smaller when everyone knows everyone

It has been so long huh? What year is it? Is Edison on his tenth light bulb yet?

Makes the world seem smaller when everyone knows everyone I had no idea the NTtD villain was supposed to be the good doctor! That... I’m unsure if it’s a great decision, but it does make me respect the title more. I did notice his name/pseudonym was “Safin,” which means “his/her end” in French. Not sure if that’s intentional. I agree not everyone should be connected. In the books, admittedly, all the villains except Blofeld and Largo were SMERSH operatives, but that “small world” doesn’t need to carry over to the movies...
