Might as well create a thread for the other services out there as well. Tip, discuss and review.

It annoys me that every company is making their own streaming service. It means that a bunch of content is going to get pulled from Netflix.

Peacock (the Universal streaming service) seems like it’ll be an especially big blow to Netflix, because that means they won’t have shows like The Office or Parks and Recreation anymore.

TV, and eventually movies, is just going to be a big mess of low budget mediocre crap spread out over a hundred services. Cultural landmark series like Seinfeld, Game of Thrones, ECT will be a thing of the past. I can see it happening already.

People will pay for them all, which is hilarious after they complained so much about cable pricing.

This may be a perverse kind of pride, but I’m only paying for one of them, Amazon Prime, and that at a discounted rate. My uncle’s more than happy to let anyone and everyone piggyback off his Netflix account, and I talked Apple into extending their free Apple+ trial offer for a year for me (because of a huge mix-up on something else). Will not be renewing.
I like Disney, especially old Disney, but I hate the company’s current monopolistic business practices and will not be buying their Netflix knockoff.
And will not be buying any more streaming services. In fact, I’m growing to hate the whole idea of them.

CBS, at least among the ones that have already been released. It's the one the least tied to things people currently care about.

I have access to about 5 TV networks that broadcast on over 20 TV channels between them... all of them free. I also have access to approximately 5 video-sharing platforms and have a massive collection of several thousand DVDs, covering both films and TV series. So why would I ever want to waste money by paying to watch TV?

To paraphrase Bela Lugosi:

He may not be the first, but he's certainly the most memorable. Thanks! Some channel I’d never heard of before started broadcasting The Saint recently, so I’ve been able to catch up with some episodes I hadn’t seen.
