Currently nursing a headache, which is no fun. Update on my dog for those who care: After feeling pretty sad for himself on the day we brought him home after his surgery, by the next day he was eating, drinking and even going for a walk. Of course, he hasn't given up his favourite pastime - scrounging bits from us when we have our breakfast/lunch/dinner (typical Lab). He wants to run and chase his ball when he's out in the backyard, but I don't want to do that for fear that he'll tear his stitches (he tends to stick his head into all manner of bushes and whatnot to retrieve his ball if it lands there). He's not too fond of the Elizabethan collar I have to put over his neck (so he can't scratch the stitches on his face) whenever I can't keep an eye on him (like when I'm sleeping or out). He looks pretty sad lying there with it on, but it's for his own good.

A bit miserable. Due to the cold season and whatever it is I have at the moment. Some lingering cold/flu, gluten problem getting worse or both

Well, it's 2024 here and the answer to the question of 'How am I doing?' can be summed up with this Star Wars quote...
