Myself when Raylan Givens was in Florida from the show Justified.
What prequel, midquel, sequel or character/s spin-off would you be excited/ have been excited for?

Anyone ever thought up episode ideas for favorite TV shows?
In some ways it’s easier than dreaming up whole movie ideas because you’re dealing with preexisting properties and stories. Sure, it can come off as fan-fiction-y, but I don’t really have anything against fan-fiction/pastiche in the abstract. (Take Denis O. Smith’s Sherlock Holmes pastiches, which are lightyears better than the “official continuations” by Arthur Conan Doyle’s son—and, for that matter, better than quite a few of Doyle’s later stories.)
I’ve thought up plenty of stories for murder-mystery shows (Columbo and Death in Paradise in particular), which tend to lack major story arcs. Many for The Twilight Zone and a few for The Outer Limits and Star Trek. A pal and I once spent a pleasant rainy afternoon developing an absurd (and absurdist) humorous story for The X-Files about a monster in Buffalo, NY, in the dead of winter who eats people’s pants, and city residents all blame Mulder because he’s the only person whose pants haven’t been stolen. (No shame! I still think the story would work!)
Anyway, how about you? I love reading this stuff because I love seeing how people’s imaginations work.

I had a pretty mind blowing ending made up for Battlestar Galactica (2004) The show's motto was "All of this has happened before... all of this will happen again... " When they set up finale to take place around a black hole, I said "Holy shit! They are going to fall in, and go back in time, to the beginning of the series!" They didn't.

And then, about 10 years later, a similar one, for Game of Thrones (2011)
Bran visits the past, and stops the Tower of Joy incident, preventing the entire War of Five Kings, and at the end of the series EVERYONE WHO DIED IS ALIVE!

How about an episode of "Sanford and Son" where Fred Sanford says "OOH, I'm comin' to join you Elizabeth!"

I kept waiting for an episode of LOST explaining why Charlie didn't just swim through the window, but it never came.

I always thought it would be cool for Game of Thrones to end each season "going into battle"
then have a two hour movie called "GoT: Battle of __________"
the begin the next season "returning from battle"

I kept waiting for an episode of LOST explaining why Charlie didn't just swim through the window, but it never came. And I kept waiting for an episode that was told from the perspective of Vincent the dog...but that too never came. lostpedia.fandom.com/wiki/VincentApparently, a scene was planned for the Season 1 final, but thanks to a press leaking details of the scene, it was never followed through with. They did end up shooting a scene from Vincent's perspective for Season 6...but then wound up cutting it.

In the episode Through the Looking Glass, when Charlie was in the underwater Dharma station. After it started flooding, he could have easily swum out the small window, but chose instead to drown.

@raimiackbar’s X-Files references in the spooky ghost thread reminded me that aforementioned friend and I also made up another FBI agent to join Mulder and Scully for that Buffalo-set, pants-eating-monster episode. We called him Adam Ulrik Strunk, no idea why, and he was absurdly skeptical to the point of (we hoped) hilarity. In that, the guy would actually see extraterrestrials and monsters with Mulder and still not believe in them. Yeah.
