I like the premiere episode a lot. I’ve watched it twice, the second time to try to pick up on hints.
Do you think the little boy (or girl) in the back of the church in France will return? Just looking at his features, he could be a Kid Loki. Mobius does say, “he’s just a kid.” So….
Another question, more far out, is Mobius’s ultimate, and currently hidden, motive be to escape the TVA himself?

I thought it was a great start to the series, Lots of Info, a great reintroduction to Loki Himself as well!

That should be Barry Allen.

That should be Barry Allen. Does that mean it has to be Ezra Miller or can it be a good Flash?

Ep 2 was much better. This is more Loki. Woohoo! 8/10. Although it took a little while to get there

You're going up, he's going down, it's really interesting to see this one affect us a little differently than the other shows so far.

BTW Loki is the exact kind of comic books I loved to read. Something Silver Surfer or the Guardians would run into, just some weird new sci fi weirdness setting with a unique plot you couldn't predict, and high concepts mixed with very personal character motivations. I love it.

Jayman, where are you at on the other 2 shows so far? Did you finish them? oh you are going to be disappointed in me Arch. I still have 5 more episodes to go on the falcon and the winter soldier and 5 more episodes if Helstrom and I have not started Loki. I needed a break to recharge those superhero batteries 😁😀

I mean, I didnt even give the pilot that bad of a rating. I guess for the first time Grandmaster knows what it's like to be in that particular seat

And not diminishing his take, but I consider this an ideal show for me. I mean it’s my kind of show. I’m enjoying the hell out of it

Watching the finale again because it’s that fascinating.
- The way they started this show with Loki’s goal of claiming a throne, and repeatedly having Mobius and others state that this was the only function of Loki, his destiny; Only to put him through a character arc where he finds a reason to not want any of that, but then ultimately be faced with the right decision being to take that throne. Just brilliant. World class writing.
- And Sylvie, the machine who’s life has been so dedicated to killing the one behind it all that she cannot stop, even at the cost of reality. This is a comicbook limited series come to life, and one of the best you ever read at that.

The quest to find a handful of stones to alter the status quo in a single universe seems pedestrian as compared. The mission has evolved into a quest to stop the ultimate "man behind the curtain" --- and the curtain is the whole of existence itself. The narratives around scarcity and resourcing evolve to become discussions surrounding predestination and free will. Loki and Sylvie may have just as well been the Tinman and Dorothy. Except this wizard has no trinkets to bequeath. All he can offer is more curtains, and he is behind every single one of them. My heart is ready.

If this is indeed the main theme playing by through the next mega arc of the MCU, it’s a beautiful one. I had no idea their vision were this vivid. I almost feel ashamed for having tried to guess anything at all.

I'd expect they want to go a different direction with season two anyway. They don't make a lot of bad moves, just ones I don't always know the goal of when they make them. Maybe they're going for a mystery, maybe an epic romance, etc. I'm sure they will find the right one for the job.

The circumstances of Loki, as a show, could be very different than what we're assuming. I doubt this is a see-you-in-thirty-days exercise. The second season could be COMPLETELY different than the first, while all the lingering questions we have now could get addressed along the way in movies.

Really curious where this goes from here. I’m assuming Loki doesn’t come back out into our main timeline, so he may likely be dealing with his own (not Quantumania) version of Kang? IDK

IDK That is as possible as anything else. There could be, and likely will be, multiple iterations of Kang to contend with. And his principle adversary is technically another villain.

Is Loki the Michael Scott of the MCU? Think about it, Carell’s obnoxious bully version of Gervais’s David Brent over the course of 7 seasons evolve from a petulant man-child into a less petulant man-child who at least got out of his cycle of self destructive behavior and his need to control everything.
