Yeah, those first couple of episodes took some getting used to. I think they relied a bit too hard on the gimmick of it being inside a 50s/60s Sitcom. Someone is having criticism of the McU here...

I am a little late with this as always. I watched the season finale the other night. I was not as blown away with this series as everybody else here, but I did enjoy it as a whole.

I haven’t checked into this thread in a minute. Glad to see you got through it. I think mostly we were impressed with the detail that went into combining so many references from the classic sitcom era, and to how they let Wanda’s past reveal itself. Where she didn’t steal the body and then broke down at their unfinished dream home. Pretty heartbreaking. And for me I loved how Vision’s story wrapped with him accepting that he had to go but passed on his knowledge to a new version. And then Wanda becoming the Scarlett Witch. Whewwwwwwwww. Overall just a really unique setup that I give a ton of respect for them to even try.

Wanda is going off to a big story in Doctor Strange 2 and who knows after that. It’s possible she winds up with a different show of her own.

I rewatched WandaVision in a binge and came away feeling better about it. For one thing, some of the Easter eggs made more sense after watching Falcon/Winter and Loki.
I daresay, the one cynical reason Marvel puts these clues in is to get rewatches of the previous movies/TV shows. Marvel gets great boxoffice, but also makes a ton off the backend renting to steaming svcs and networks. The more people who tune in to sit through commercials, the higher the fees.
Disney, before video revolution, had a lock the seven-year release rule because they catered to an audience that replenished every seven years. Now, they are cornering the multi-watch market.

After an episode of Jeffs show just the other day, I was reminded of how surprised I am that the large of the fandom who allowed themselves to get caught up in thinking that Evan Peters was teasing a crossover with the Fox Xmen. I never bought into that. It seemed pretty clear that Marvel would want to present their own vision and their cast, and once that seemed the far more likely option, Evan Peters simply became one of the best cameos of all time.

Well to be fair, we have the same Kingpin and DD now or so it seems

Daredevil can continue with no questions asked. Quicksilver would have to be shoved I through a plot hole.

Not saying they arent but unless they specifically reference what happened in the Netflix shows it remains to be seen.

I can see that too and I confess personal bias. I have viewed these as connected, was distraught that they might not be, and now that it’s so close I’m clinging to that for all it’s worth lol

After my rewatch of Wandavision I went back and watched our review series. You know what. We may not like speculation but we are quite good at it. Damn we were right a bunch of times. We are actually quite good and know what we are talking about. Lord Death ManArArArchStantontaylorfirst1

I too have had fun listening to you guys even when I’m not on. It’s very often an insightful conversation, in terms of detail mining, conceptual ideas, and speculation. And everybody has settled into finding their own perspective after others have spoken and keep it to a digestible time period as well. It’s a very watchable and interesting discussion. I think we deserve to be in front of a few more eyeballs

What's a discless steel book? A Steelbook DVD/Blue-Ray case without a disk.
