Yes. Buck's in the ultimate no-win, no matter where he goes, pretty much. I just want to hug him. Be honest. You just want to fix him

So any ideas on what the flag smashers are? They obviously have abilities. Also I love that we're getting more PTSD stuff with Bucky. Apparently, they're long-time Captain America villains. Fitting, since this series will be the rise of the new Cap. It looks like they're Anarchists who want to tear down the concept of countries and Patriotism. Damn Democrats are a problem in the mcu too

Farewell! 😂😂😂😂 Further evidence of why pineapple has to be eradicated - it's not enough that it ruins pizzas, now it's ruining potential hookups as well. Pineapple is EVIL!

You know what? Change of plan. You gals can honey wrestle over me. Whoever wins gets a mansion in Florida. The other gets an apartment in NYC. There are no losers when you run with me. Now, catfight!

Perfect comicbook style start. Felt like it was right out of the pages as it begins just settling into the lives of its protagonists, and letting the story slowly unfold. Sam dealing with responsibility, and Bucky dealing with redemption. This is exactly what Captain America comics are.

The action scene in this BTW! MOVIE QUALITY, and Sam is a total badass. It’s gripping.

The fight scene in this with Sam. Dropping dudes out of the sky. That’s cold lol. Loved that flip over the copter gunner to drag him out the back move. Brilliant.
I did have one potentially sensitive question. A little bit is being made of the potential of systemic racism being brought up, and that’s a fair topic. I can see that being an issue with the USAgent selection for sure.
But my question is about the bank loan because I see a few people mentioning that. I’ll be honest that’s not how I interpreted that scene but I wanted to ask for your thoughts.
To set the stage, I’m comparing it to the Spiderman 2 scene where May gets turned down for a loan. Both are reported to be due to lack of income/funding to justify the loan. Now it does appear that Sam’s sister feels this might be racially motivated, but I’m truthfully not sure anything in the scene indicates that it actually is. Not saying it can’t be, or isnt. I just didn’t see that in the banker’s response. I felt he was being honest about them not meeting the income qualifications.
Please feel free to comment if you feel differently. This is not one of those things where I’ll insist I’m right. I want to know how it is people felt about this one.

I guess people read too much into it.

Sarah subtly pulls the race card with her comments; however, the banker was not motivated by race in his assessment of their qualifications. He was looking at the cold economic reality of the situation - while simultaneously being a douchebag. Sarah would naturally be on the lookout for any racial motivation in the denial of the loan if their family had been subject to the same or similar in the past.

After a second viewing of New World Order, I found this Easter egg hidden in the credits. About two people on the net have discussed the possibility of the Power Broker ending up in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (and I'm one of them). It's always nice to see a deep cut in the Disney+ shows. The character is most famous for his appearance in The Power Broker Saga. He sells superpowers to the highest bidder, whether it be wrestlers or international terrorists. I think this character is likely flooding the market with concentrated doses of super serum. We'll see...

That - and superpowers could become something of a commodity in the MCU. A tool or a weapon like any other to achieve national/non-state objectives.

If they actually do bring in the Power Broker, it'd be interesting to see him react to the existence of Mutants being revealed and his uncomfortable realization that his customers don't need him anymore.
