I wouldn't mind the show touching on racial issues, but it might be a bit much if the entire series focuses solely on that issue.
I'd prefer that they use Flagsmasher as conceived in the source material. They want to topple the existing social, political, and economic systems that fuel the current world order. Their goal, like most anarchists, is a borderless world bought about through violence and revolution.

One thing is for sure is that Wandavision raised the bar for the Marvel Disney+ series.

One thing is for sure is that Wandavision raised the bar for the Marvel Disney+ series. It raised the bar for tv shows in general. Its damn good.

Seems like it would be pretty cool to watch CA2 CA3 and this as one long event. Its really going to play together nicely. This show is the legacy of that mantle. Everybody should read the entirely of Captain America Vol 5. It’s really what this series is all about. If you want a more a deviated version start with issue #25, and what happens after Steve’s death is really interesting and has a lot of the vibe this show seems to be giving off

Charles Murphy
Everyone is going to come into #FalconAndWinterSoldier expecting big, visceral action and the first episode delivers on that expectation. It also delivered a couple of character moments that gave me chills.
It’s incredibly well written and visually it’s both creative and beautiful. In this post-Blip world, even heroes struggle with where they fit in. Mackie and Stan bring new emotional depth to #BuckyBarnes and #SamWilson as they try to redefine themselves outside of Cap’s legacy.
Stan gives a particularly chilling performance and Mackie’s charisma inhabits every scene, even the ones that don’t go his way. Big action, big moments and big surprises, even for me, and the first act isn’t even done. This is going to be a huge success for #MarvelStudios
Nikki Novak
1st ep of #FalconAndWinterSoldier is INTENSE! Kicks off with a lightning speed high altitude 10 min action scene that is pure adrenaline! Story gets REAL. Mackie commands & Stan's scenes run deep surprise here will break your heart it's for all wounded & lonely. #CaptainAmerica is Key.
And yeah get ready for cliffhangers. And oh yeah if you ask me to compare to #Wandavision - it's yin and yang! #TheFalconAndWinterSoldier #TheFalconAndTheWinterSoldier
Brandon Davis
watched Episode 1 of #TheFalconAndTheWinterSoldier!
It has some dope action sequences with CA: TWS vibes! Not the pace I expected but spending time with Sam's family and Bucky's mental state is great development.
Mackie & Stan are really good in very different ways.
TheFalconAndTheWinterSoldier has some really touching ties to the MCU and those are some of my favorite parts of Episode 1.
References to other characters, questions about the Avengers, the world's view of Endgame storylines... some small-scale, fun MCU world building.
Erik Davis
I've watched the first episode of #TheFalconAndWinterSoldier & it's solid. Definitely more somber & dramatic at the start than I was expecting (which is a good thing), but also features the best Falcon action we've seen yet. Good mix of fights & story. I'm sold & hungry for more
What I love most about this series & #WandaVision too is that you just get to know these characters on a level that instantly brings you closer to them than you've ever been before. Both Falcon & Bucky are going through some heavy stuff in this one, that's for sure.
Jacob Hall
The first episode of THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER is exactly what you think it'll be, but that's not a bad thing. If you like this world and like these characters, you will like this. It's exactly what's been advertised: more Marvel, but shaped like a television show now.
If FALCON AND WINTER SOLDIER is content to be just a fun action romp full of juicy Marvel world-building, the first episode is certainly promising. But considering the talent behind the camera, I suspect/hope for a wild left turn.
Meagan Damore
With #WandaVision and now #FalconAndWinterSoldier, Marvel's Disney+ projects are delivering the MCU stories I've been looking for: quieter, character-centric pieces that flesh out the title character, while peppering in some of that classic Marvel action.
I feel comfortable saying #FalconAndWinterSoldier, in its first episode alone, offers more background for Sam Wilson than all of his previous MCU appearances combined. It gives a lot of insight into what makes him a hero and Steve Rogers' chosen heir to the Cap mantle.
For Bucky, #FalconAndWinterSoldier looks to his present by exploring the ramifications of his past and his trauma. The show gives Bucky the reintegration story Steve never got, with an added emotion gut punch colored by his time as the Winter Soldier.
With Henry Jackman's score, #FalconAndWinterSoldier brings a #CaptainAmerica2 tone to the overall piece, which feels in-line with these characters' previous MCU appearances. It is familiar, which will please longtime fans, while exploring these characters in new, significant ways
That isn't to say #FalconAndWinterSoldier is bereft of action. On the contrary, the first episode features an incredible action piece that will also resonate with #CaptainAmericaTheWinterSoldier fans, in particular. It's fun and fast-paced with heart-pumping stakes.
Grace Randolph
Got to watch #FalconAndWinterSoldier Episode 1 - about 40 min long!
Great to see the focus on Sam & Bucky who are both excellent.
Lots of Action, Political Thriller, more political than #Marvel’s ever been.
Total 180 from #WandaVision
40 mins - without credits - to be clear!
Bossip
All I can say is that the opening 10 minutes is in my personal favorite top 5 Marvel action sequences ever. The remainder of the episode is an engrossing examination of Sam and Bucky's humanity. I'm hype for people to see it next Friday! #FalconAndWinterSoldier
Josh Horowitz
Oh hey I guess I can say I’ve seen the first episode of #FalconAndWinterSoldier? Probably more character development for these 2 characters in these 45 minutes than the previous 10 films. Big scale with some nice “what’s it REALLY like to be a superhero” moments. I’m in.
POC Culture
I watched the first episode of #FalconAndWinterSoldier! This was my most anticipated #DisneyPlus show & it didn’t disappoint.
It opens w/ an absurdly awesome action sequence featuring #SamWilson & a villain I loved to see again. It’s 100% 3D IMAX worthy. Jaw dropping. 1/?
I’m so glad this is a series bc we’ve never had a chance to see #BuckyBarnes like this. He’s vulnerable, emotional and...really human. There’s a scene I can’t wait to talk about that just makes me so happy. Need more real human moments like this for all our heroes. 2/?
The show seems to be about picking up the pieces & what it means to “move on.” Steve Rogers looms large over everyone, but especially these two. Interesting to see Sam & Bucky grapple w/ a post Rogers/post snap world. Makes me think about us post COVID 3/ #FalconAndWinterSoldier
I feel like some of the most memorable #Avengers moments are when we got to see them as people. The shawarma stinger, the scene in AoU when they’re trying to lift Mjolnir.
The beauty of these #DisneyPlus shows is that we can get so many more of those moments & action too!
Steven Weintraub
The first episode of #TheFalconAndWinterSoldier is loaded with action that you’d expect to see in an MCU movie. But for me the best stuff were the quiet scenes that showed Bucky dealing with his past and Falcon trying to figure out his post-blip life. Big thumbs up.
Peter Sciretta
First episode of Falcon and The Winter Soldier feels like a Marvel movie in a big way, a lot more so than Wandavision (not a knock). The opening action screen feels like a huge MCU action sequence (and not a tv fight), story feels like it has significant MCU consequences.
Also, I’m not sure if this excites anyone but me but it’s a long episode (I think nearly 50 minutes) coming off most of the other original Disney+ shows which have (for the most part) hugged that 30 minute runtime (before the extra long credits). Hoping that continues.
Cosmic Warren
You will be blown away by the first episode of #TheFalconAndWinterSoldier! So many scenes are satisfying on many different levels. A lot of callbacks. A lot of respect. And a lot of emotion in just the 1st episode. It’s perhaps one of the most “Marvel feeling” projects there is!
Some people said that #WandaVision, being as great as it was, didn’t feel like Marvel until the very end. Well, with #FalconAndWinterSoldier you know it’s Marvel within the first 2 minutes of the show! It feels like Captain America and Iron Man. It feels perfect.
Umberto Gonzalez
I saw the first episode of #TheFalconAndWinterSoldier and dug it! The opening action sequence is very cool, has a surprise appearance, and I like where the story is going as we get deeper into Sam And Bucky's backstory.
Courtney Howard
Watched the first episode of #TheFalconAndWinterSoldier and marveled at all the action sequences. Very cool stuff there. We learn a bit more about these characters’ interiority & their individual driving forces. Anthony Mackie & Sebastian Stan will easily carry this series.
FalconAndWinterSoldier (episode 1) is great at re-acclimating us to these characters where it doesn’t feel repetitious, setting up their internal & external stakes, & introducing the series’ adversarial force (which might lead to twists & turns in following episodes).
John Nguyen
Saw the 1st ep of #TheFalconAndWinterSoldier and I'm hooked on seeing how the events of Avengers: Endgame have affected our heroes. It has an action-packed opening, and the rest is a slow burn that captures these heroes trying to have normal lives. Can't wait for the next ep!
Matt Mitovich
TheFalconAndTheWinterSoldier is very much a "months later" #Endgame follow-up, with the first episode exploring the emotional weight of Bucky's dark past, Sam being given the shield, and some Blip aftermath (superheroism doesn't pay the bills!). DYNAMITE action sequences.
Rohan Patel
TheFalconAndTheWinterSoldier is a straight-up adrenaline shot to your system, another major winner for @marvelstudios ! However, while the action is top-tier, the series is at its best as a deeply effective character study for #TheFalcon & #WinterSoldier. -->
FalconAndWinterSoldier shows a side of Sam & Bucky that we've never seen before as they try to adjust to a world w/o Cap, dealing with real human issues that prove unless you're an A-lister, things are a bit more complicated on the ground. Mackie & Stan are both phenomenal!

The head writer pretty much confirmed that Racism is going to be touched on in this series and honestly considering that Sam Wilson is more than likely going to be the next Captain America it makes sense.
If America getting a first Black president drove racist crazy, I'm sure a Black Captain America will too.
