I'm going to pass on this one... Washington's acting seems so stilted. It's taking me out of the whole premise.

Well..I saw it. It was ok. I feel like Nolan has peaked. Dunkirk, now this. Hopefully not. Will see it sometime again to understand it better but it wont change my opinion of the film

I thought it was absolutely brilliant. Nice! I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to wait for the blu ray. Theaters are still closed in my city. How does it compare to Nolan's earlier work like Inception?

How does it compare to Nolan's earlier work like Inception? It reminded me of Inception actually. Personally I thought TENET was better but I didnt care for Inception much besides the visuals. Visually Inception is better.

Will see it sometime again to understand it better but it wont change my opinion of the film Hes a very plot driven filmmaker. I've come to accept that he will rarely, if ever, make movies about characters anywhere near as interesting and iconic as TDK trilogy's Bruce Wayne and Joker. He likes high concept thrillers and he's very good at them. So I'll always look forward to his films, but my expectations are not anywhere near as high as they used to be.

Didnt like it. Seems a backward step from his other movies in 2010s. And the sound was too loud to audibly hear the dialogue most of the time

I feel like I should. Supporting it increases the odds of other films getting a release sooner rather than later.

How are theaters open in your countries?
Mine its like this
-Have to preorder a fixed seat. -Only people from same household can sit next to each other. -Two seats next to you are empty. -Seat behind and in front is empty. -Can only access the theater 15 minutes in advance. -No Cash Payments -Keep 1.5 meters distance as much as possible -Times are arranged as much as possible in such a way that incoming and outgoing audiences dont have to cross paths
This has been the way since June 1st. In the figures theaters are no source of virus spreading. And masks are NOT required.
So it is possible.

Think the studios are chipping in a bonus for showing films?

But people will go see it. TENET did fairly well without the major markets.

There were comments under youtube reviews about it. Apparently Nolan does it intentionally with films as to not get bogged down in all the words and wants you to appreciate the visuals/spectacle but who knows

The FX are loud as fuck. And theaters are already too loud IMO. Even watching at home I gotta keep my thumb on the volume when watching TDK and other Nolan flicks.

In a very complex and convoluted plot such as Tenet, you need to hear the dialogue more than ever to know whats going on. I had no firm grasp on why things were happening. The last 20 minutes was the worst because it made little to no sense due to entire exposition paragraphs not registered in the first 2 acts.

It's my favorite non-Batman Nolan movie. Have to second this, Grandmaster. It’s actually my favorite Nolan movie, full stop. Not only is the plotting (and cluing! It’s one of the best-clued films ever) brilliant, but it’s also warmer and more human than any other Nolan I’ve seen. One of these days I have to read Christopher Priest’s book…

Should probably pick it up soon; I have to get over a particularly lousy book I just finished (Harlan Coben’s The Innocent). That said, even if the book’s better, the movie’s story is good, I think.

That said, even if the book’s better, the movie’s story is good, I think. I’d imagine that if you were unfamiliar with the novel, the movie would seem altogether groundbreaking. I was a long time fan of the book, and as such, I likely had unrealistic expectations surrounding Nolan’s adaptation. If it's worth anything, I've become a bigger fan of the film as the years have passed. I think Nolan did manage to capture the essentials of the story, but the book was a very transformative experience for me. I’d never really cared for anything related to magic or the occult prior to reading The Prestige.

New Trailer Appreciate Nolan people. He is coming the the theaters. Dont know when though. No one kill me but this was my least favorite Nolan movie. It was like he was trying too hard to make it extra special and it turned into a long convoluted mess. *sees myself out of thread*
