Ive enjoyed the John Wick franchise. Same here. It's what the Expendables franchise should had been, even if I generally like those movies.

And they'll still take the wrong lessons from it.

10/10 currently my favorite film of 2023.
Donnie Yen was great in this, made me wish we got him as Daredevil.

Excellent film, but not as great as all of the hype. They shamelessly steal from one of my all time favorite movies at one point and it was kind of cringe. Never really been a fan of the "world building" in John Wick films. I usually come for Keanu and the gun play. The "high table" and all the other imperialist nonsense never made sense to me. I still have a soft spot for the first one which was more clearly about a guy and his dog… plus his wife, too. Really enjoyed the ending.

I understand what you are saying and to some degree I agree. The first one remains the best. However, I do love the world building and JW4 is certainly the second best movie in the franchise. A 9/10 film in my book. I would rate the original film a perfect 10.

The action was sublime as always - especially Paris - but it wasn't like 'nothing I'd ever seen before.' JW is easily the best of the aging-action-star franchises out there.

And that we shouldnt want... Yeah - it would ruin a near perfect franchise. They've got the spinoffs if they're really looking for a profit center.

Exactly. They could use the Donnie Yen character to proceed or so.

Exactly. They could use the Donnie Yen character to proceed or so. The Ballerina is in post production - to be released in 24. One thing Marvel could learn from this franchise is invest in stunt-focused directors.

What I like most about this franchise is it has great story, great acting, great action, great cinematography, and no agenda.
