I LOVE Blade Runner 2029, but I'm not sure I've seen any others of his.... Which do you reccomend? Arrival Prisoners Two movies I absolutely love. If you haven't seen it, I also recommend Incendies (2010).
It's the latest film of his I've seen despite being one of his earliest. If I'd seen it before Blade Runner 2049, I might have felt differently about it.

writer Eric Roth:
“I wrote a big, full, overwritten Eric Roth draft that had certain things special to me. It needed to be, honestly, cut down and sort of harnessed, and Denis did some of that, and they eventually brought in a writer – I was busy, so they brought in a writer named Jon Spaihts, who is a wonderful writer, who I think kept it grounded. And I think he [Villeneuve]… I don’t want to say Lord of the Rings, but I think it’s really pretty spectacular. He’s a visionary of his own kind, Denis.”
Roth also confirmed the final film is the first half of the novel:
“It’s completely the first half. Yeah. I didn’t know when we started, so I think I adapted a little more than the first half and started going into the second half of the book. But I’ve seen the film, it’s pretty much the first half.”

I hate sand. It’s coarse, it’s irritating and it gets everywhere!

I wonder which film will be talked about more re story brilliance, this or Avatar 2? As opposed to the technical aspect ie 3d without glasses

Is that "wow" bad, or "wow" good? Regardless, after much thought, I've decided to re-read Dune before seeing this, or any other, adaptation of the property. The real magic of Dune has always been on the page for me, and no man-made visuals could compare to what I saw in my mind's eye when I read Dune for the first time. And I just can't entirely suspend disbelief with all these beautiful, famous, and rich people playing out this saga. It completely dissipates all tension and friction. Wish they'd have at least found some lesser know actors for some of the more significant roles. Nothing personal against rich, famous, or beautiful people…
