It's Tom Rothman. He will cost himself money in the name of spite. He lost himself money on Titan A.E. just because he lost faith in animated features and was willing to take the hit and ruin Don Bluth's career in the process. And no matter how much money superhero/comic book movies are worth, he doesn't like them and will torpedo them if it means he gets his way. I have to wonder who exactly will be the villains in Tom’s next trilogy. I suppose the MCU could still have their own Kraven. Maybe Kingpin with a Spidey Daredevil team up? Anyone Sony believes won't be marketable for their own solo movie, I suppose. And since they made damn sure to waste several Spider-Man villains all at the same time in No Way Home, the numbers really are dwindling. They can't use Silver Sable, she's getting her own whatever. They can't use Black Cat, she's getting her own Sony whatever. They've used Vulture, The Tinkerer, Shocker, Mysterio, Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Electro, The Lizard, and Sandman. Morbius is getting his own movie, Venom has his own movies, Carnage is in Venom's movies, Kraven is getting his own movie, and The Chameleon is going to be in it. Am I missing anyone? I guess that leaves his mob enemies, mostly, like: Kingpin, Silvermane, Hammer Head, Spencer and Alastair Smythe, Tombstone, Crime Master, Big Man, and anyone else connected with them. As for regular supervillains, there's a possibility that Mysterio faked his own death, Tinkerer and Shocker might not have been arrested, The Jackal (Heaven forbid), The Hobgoblin, Scorpion, Hydro-Man, that lady Doc Ock from Spiderverse, Prowler, and after glancing through a list of them on Wikipedia, a bunch of nobodies I have no familiarity with.

I’d like to see that Scorpion thread get paid off. Michael Mando is actually pretty good, but he’s not the A List celeb that Keaton and Gylyenhall are so I doubt he’ll be the main villain. I do wish Lizard had been cut from NWH. Would’ve liked to see him redone in the Holland series.

To be fair, after No Way Home made ALL the money in the known universe, they might feel like Michael Mando doesn't need to be that famous to be the villain.

I watch him on Better Call Saul. Plus, there's also the possibility they'll partner him up with someone else. Scorpion didn't create himself.

Just curious, because I know you are a big fan of TASM movies- if they did the third Garfield movie fans are asking for would you be excited for it?

I'd like to see the conspiracy that's stalking Peter behind the scenes fully introduced and actually get some answers about that.

But I also hope they do TASM 3. I wasn’t a fan, but I loved Garfield in No Way Home. Also, having three Spidey franchises going at once is such a wonderfully wacky idea. Don’t know if it’s a good business decision, but when in doubt, I always vote in favor of wackiness.

Honestly Im not worried at all. There's Molten Man too I guess. The list is endless. They can easily make a nobody into a somebody. Look at what Gunn has manage to pull of with both DC and Marvel

Yeah I found out recently that the word Jap is now offensive although I meant it as an abbreviation lol I once got chased out of Düsseldorf for using the word Kraut. But I was talking about Sauerkraut! Silly Germans didn’t pay attention to the context. I was holding a giant bratwurst for Gott sake!

Taylor Johnson also spoke about his experience shooting “Kraven the Hunter,” who he described as “one of Marvel’s most iconic, notorious anti-heroes — Spider Man’s number one rival.” He said he found exciting the fact that this character is “not an alien, or a wizard. He’s just a hunter, a human with conviction. An animal lover and a protector of the natural world. He’s a very, very cool character.” He added that unlike other Marvel movies, “this one is shot entirely on location.”

Since when is Kraven an animal lover? Or does ‘animal lover’ mean something different nowadays?

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Nivola discussed his work on Kraven the Hunter: "These movies all have a certain formula to them, but J.C. said that he wanted to shoot all on location. The physical ability of the characters in the movie is also more grounded in reality. People aren’t flying around or anything. J.C. described it as the most incredible Olympic athlete you’ve ever seen. Moreover, the role, which I’m not yet allowed to disclose, was just a real acting opportunity for me. You’ll see. It’s just a great character part, and I didn’t have to do any CGI. I didn’t have to do any green screen. I only transform, physically, in the final moments of the movie, so it’s just a classic villain role. It had a really interesting, complex psychology and personal history to draw on, and the movie has a time jump in it, so the character changes a lot from the way he is in the beginning of the film. It was as much of an acting opportunity as any other film I’ve done, and I didn’t have to contend with wearing a spandex outfit or anything like that" movieweb.com/kraven-the-hunter-alessandro-nivola-discusses-his-role-as-the-films-villain/#:~:text=Nivola%20stars%20alongside%20Aaron%20Taylor,Sony%27s%20upcoming%20comic%20book%20film.
