Reshoots happening.
Presumably to add more dancing.
This is presumably the reason for all the delays. I’m just glad they’re giving it the time to make sure it’s right. Yeah Feige was pretty loose about the rescheduling on the Blue Carpet Event for Eternals. Saying something like now there is more time between movies and thats ok. We havw more than enough slots.

Trailer may be attached to Spider-Man!
I sincerely hope not. To sit in the theater and watch that followed by the return of Tobermann? My face would melt off from the super charged blast of Raiminess!

‘Doctor Strange’ Sequel Undergoing “Significant” ReshootsThis doctor is on call 'til Christmas as the actors and crew shoot six days a week until the end of the year. Depending on which sources you want to believe, the movie is in serious trouble, or they are working through the last part of the Marvel filmmaking method. Apparently, the film tested poorly with Marvel's internal "friends and family" audience. But the devil is in the details. Derrickson leaves over "creative differences," and Raimi and Waldron are bought on board to re-tool the film on an accelerated timeline. Waldron is one Michael Waldron of Loki fame who was a polarizing figure during that series' run. If you hated Loki, I'm not sure how you could be excited for Dr. Strange 2 - but, Raiminess must conquer all. In the final estimation, let's hope the reshoots lead to a better product - Rogue One style.

Looks like the 'Master of the Craft' really isnt up to speed anymore. Apparantly Raiminess is like that grandpa trying to get on the bus while being in a wheelchair.
Im kidding of course. Reshoots happen with every movie. Im sure the movie will be fine and awesome.

They better not be getting rid of all the 'horror' elements that I'd seen mentions of this movie including - since that was the main reason I was interested in it (well...that and Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch). I hope the reaction to Eternals hasn't scared the studio into not wanting to take risks and try different things with their movies, as that'd be disappointing.

Supposedly (and you never know how accurate any leaks or speculation are) the studio didn’t like this movie’s version of Scarlett Witch, and is reshooting to “fix” her. If Marvel screws up Raimi’s vision I will never forgive them. If Marvel screws up Scarlet Witchy Woman I'LL never forgive them.

Every Marvel movie has reshoots. There is absolutely no reason to panic.

So far both SW and Doctor Strange have been fine. Eternals was hard to pull off too. Obscure characters and a juggling act. Also after both Guardians and Avengers

If Marvel screws up Scarlet Witchy Woman I'LL never forgive them. It’s still entirely possible that these reshoots really do have to do with COVID delays only. I really really do not want this to be one of those “wish we got the original version” kind of deals. Yeah there was also the strike that was averted last minute. I remember the Campea show discussing this. Although Im forgetting the dates and titles but quite a few properties were pushed back and they were saying it could be one movie's delay pushed back the others. I think there was a difference again with Disney+ Day?

Supposedly, both Spider-Man: No Way Home and Dr. Strange 2 tested poorly.
There was likely no time to fix NWH, so that is what it is, but there is time to salvage DS2.
According to scoopers who are usually in the know, VFX teams are stretched thin, and they're working six days a week for the next six weeks to finish DS2.
At this point, janky VFX in a good portion of both films is likely a given. You can't change major plot points in a movie and then expect VFX teams to be johnny-on-the-spot with the revisions.
Ironically, the Disneyplus streaming shows VFX pipeline line is super solid, but the movies still get outsourced to multiple houses.
Instead of prioritizing an animation studio and video games for Marvel IP, Disney should be investing in a VFX studio dedicated solely to films and TV shows produced for the house of ideas.

If these two movies arent indeed not so good it will cause a meltdown in the fandom of unprecendented proportions. And I will sit back and smile.

If these two movies arent indeed not so good it will cause a meltdown in the fandom of unprecendented proportions. And I will sit back and smile. I agree, although with a less sadistic bent. If you're not solely here for the Raiminess, there's a lot to be concerned about regarding both films. I'm particularly concerned with the "overstuffing." It's okay for team-based films like the Avengers, but it never really works for me in solo character films (outside of Captain America: Civil War). These two films are the first Marvel Studios productions that feel more like producers alone are calling the shots. The Directors and screenwriters really feel like glorified journeymen on these outings in particular. The one thing multiple scoopers seem to agree on, and that has all but been verified with No Way Home, is that we're going to get a lot of characters in both films. Raimi himself got dinged for this same practice when Spider-Man 3 first shipped (although modern reevaluation of the film has been kinder for some incomprehensible reason). Had Spider-Man 3 worked out the Way Sony and Raimi wanted, it would have had the Vulture, Sandman, Venom, and the second Green Goblin. This version of Spider-Man 3 seems eerily familiar to the last iteration. Sony obviously feels that if at first you don't succeed… Supposedly Raimi nearly cracked under the complexity of a screenplay that should have easily been two different films. I would hope they've learned their lesson, but that would assume that they think they made a mistake the last time around. As for Marvel Studio's complicity, if this was the price to get the prince of the MCU back for a third outing - it was way too high.

From the moment I heard what No Way Home would be I feel like Gamora talking to Thanos. It just costs too much. Still I trust Marvel. Hell I even trust Sam Raimi. I just hope that the MCU has some dignity left come June 2022.

So since the film got pushed back a little I guess we won't be getting a teaser trailer with NWH. They should do something simple. Just thirty seconds with dialogue over a black screen and then Sherlock in a swanky new costume standing in battle pose for the camera. That’ll keep us occupied for like months.
