Yep. I liked it. I'm so relieved the dog made it! What a good doggie. Traitor! I will notify the Feline Guild at once! No mention of the puma tsk tsk I can take em. Just make sure there's as many of them as possible so it'll be a fair fight.

I enjoy that the Predator series has taken pleasure in changing their settings and playing around with how things would work there. We’ve known they arrived in the past since Predator 2, so let’s do a Native American setting. Pretty cool. Let’s do one on their planet. Cool too. The original was in a jungle. The sequel was in a city. And they manage to do enough to keep it interesting. I think my favorite part here was either the bear kill blood reveal, or the semi surprise she’s got a plan ending which I didn’t connect the dots to. I dubbed it solid made for TV, and that’s fine. Enjoyable watch.

One thing I appreciated about this one was the theme of prey. The tribe is facing a challenge to select a beast that can hunt you back, and they select a lion. The film additionally highlights a Falcon. Meanwhile the predator is progressing through a series of animals beginning with a snake, then a wolf, then a bear, and finally humans. The theme of how nature is all about the relationship of predators and prey is actually really well done.

Yea I loved the way the Predator works his way up and plays about as fair as you can being an 8 foot tall alien with advanced technology. He doesn’t use anything other than his claw arm until he comes across the Comanche and their arrows, and it’s only after he see them take down a target at range that he does the same. And even then, he seems to prefer getting his hands dirty if he can help it. I’ve also invented my own backstory to this Predator…how he was a convicted prisoner and rather than execute they just let him down on this ball of dirt called Earth to live out his sentence. I’m working on a fanfic…just wait for the sex sequence.

Didn’t have to do that but since they did to your theory it makes me wonder if this was the first visit they’d made. Wait. Nope. Alien VS Predator established that theyd been here for thousands of years didnt if? BTW how did the pistol get rescued if he died in that mud pit? His alien friends came and drug him out and kept his gun?

Prob not worth worrying about too much but in the comics for Predator, the pistol has a different origin. A Predator gets it off a pirate as he’s dying he says ‘take it’. Which is what the Predator in 2 tells Danny glover.

Terminator has to focus on this one core story alone and while I do like the fun reference I kind of like that Predator can just tell random stories. Although I’m not sure if there’s any new ground to tread at this point.

Amber Midthunder is a huge Marvel fan, and has made no secret that she would love to join the franchise in the not-too-distant future.
