Honestly it's not really a ending since they're still doing spin offs set after this season.
Still I'm glad that the main show is wrapping up. The show was getting repetitive, the survivors are either fighting Zombies or other survivors. Everytime they set up a home, it's either constantly attacked or destroyed and they move onto another location.
I'll watch the final season, of course, but honestly this show should have ended sooner.

I honestly fell out of touch with The Walking Dead back in I think season 5, and I have sort of caught an episode or a few episodes, here and there, but have not maintained watching enough to understand the whole real time premise of the current season. When I watched it, I thought it was a outstanding TV show that was always larger and deeper then just the whole zombie genre craze. Because of the genre and it being based on a comic book, several actors/ actresses who turned in AWARD winning character performances were not given their due. At least in the beginning I think it was easily not just a horror show, but the best real drama show out there at the time. The cohesion and chemistry of the group through the initial seasons was something that really connected with people, and we rooted for them and wanted them to succeed, and then you throw in savage fucking violence and gore and hand to hand combat and combat with hand held weapons. LOL. I mean from a base human level we both enjoy and are excited by violence, and when its done with close combat its more primal and real and we relate to the pain and injuries and death more and it becomes more authentic as opposed to just killing someone with a gun. When you combine the outstanding individual character performances, the drama angle, and the horror/ violence/ gore, its just a wonderful blend of different elements that just literally worked in this show. I think the acting in The Walking Dead in the beginning was so great that i would match it up with the best performances in Game Of Thrones. There are some loose connections with the initial TWD seasons and Deadwood I find personally if that makes any sense. If anyone understands where I am going with that gem of a comparison please say hey and let me know what you think. This is TrueKnowledge in real time, making my mark.... AQUA KEN! , @anna , @phistosgauntlet , @ghostyghostington , Yeah the acting can be awesome. Especially the performance by Rick Grimes' actor ie Andrew Lincoln if I remember correctly. I believe he's also British which makes it even more impressive. I remember one scene where he just totally lost it. Not sure if he was angry, sad or both at the time but it was a show-stopping, stellar performance. I was like WOW Ill see if I can find it. Obviously it would be more impactful if youve followed the show till that point. A few seasons ago
