If I were a betting man, I'd guess that it'll settle in the low seventies. The last-second negative review bomb is yet to come. Haven't watched or read a review, but twitter assures me this is no WW84. 86 and 118, for those that care.

85% at 130. Still not certified fresh. I must say, after the WW84 debacle, I don't really care about tomato freshness. At best, it involves horribly out of touch jackassery, but more likely it involves more payoffs than would seem reasonable. If it's meaningless for one thing, it's meaningless for all things.

I’m not saying this in regards to Black Widow, or any particular movie, but I think mainstream critics are scared of the backlash they’d receive for giving a bad review for a tent pole franchise. Not necessarily from the studios, but from their target audience on the internet.

My honest opinion would have been seen as hateful. The more I thought about it, the less I liked the film. Yet the RT writeup still claims "sequel overload" as if it's not just poorly directed. I was shaming myself the next day for weeks for having a couple of nice things to say and pulling half my punches. I just can't imagine having sold out as a professional reviewer without overriding it by now.

I just can't imagine having sold out as a professional reviewer without overriding it by now. I did the same thing for The Force Awakens. When I got back on IMDb after seeing it I kind of half pretended to like it just to not be that one guy that didn’t like it. Even talking to friends/family in my life I did the same thing. I even kind of lied to myself about it for a few days before just flat out facing the fact that I hated it.

Man of Steel is Rotten so they aren’t totally afraid, but I do think WW benefited from what you’re talking about.

Sitting at 80 with 316 in. That’s solid. I believe the MCU average is right at an astoundingly high 85 without doing the math again.

Oooh just noticed Black Widow actually popped up to 81 with 341 reviews. Not a surge really but an encouraging increase nonetheless this late in the game. Not sure what to expect but WW84 has 431 total reviews so I suppose I’d expect a similar amount in the end.

Damn Widow went to 80 and then back to 81 with 360 votes in. It might still take a drop but it’s a certified solid entry.

Black Widow still hanging tough at 81% with 388 reviews in. That's solid. The MCU average is 84.5ish, which is absolutely staggering when you think about it. And Widow has been consistently right in that area. I thought it might drop a bit, much as LDM did early on, and it still could take a small turn, but I'm not expecting anything drastic at this point. A few points perhaps, WW84 had about 60 more reviews come in for instance, so if BW trickles up to that mark we could see some change, but I think we've got a reasonable look at a final mark here, and it's good. The consistency of the MCU continues to be unprecedentedly unflappable.
