But I HATE Jurassic World and Fallen Kingdom.

I just always figured the next logical step for the franchise would be for it to eventually morph into some form of the TV series Dino-Riders. www.imdb.com/title/tt0094449/

Loved the book. Wasn't so fussed on the TV mini-series, though.

oh, okay thanks! ( any idea what that means? ) It implies that humans and dinosaurs will be fighting for dominance over the world. That seems kind of silly, seeing as how humans have guns, tanks, misiles, and nukes, but if nothing else, I would hope it means they’ll go all in with the over the top mayhem.

Fallen Kingdom was my least favourite but I wouldn't say it's that bad. I'm interested in the next one.

I'm a hardcore fan of the franchise with the first one being my favorite movie of all time. So yeah I'm excited for Dominion.
Out of the sequels I like Jurassic world and The Lost world: Jurassic Park and found JP3 and Fallen Kingdom to be mediocre but still find some enjoyment in them.

The first one I saw three times in theater. Only matched by Ragnarok and outdone by The Return of the King (5) and Black Panther(4).
I dont think there will ever be a movie that will match the feeling I had when I saw those dinosaurs for the first time. And that feeling was excellently portrayed by Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum at that exact same moment.

And that feeling was excellently portrayed by Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum at that exact same moment. I agree with that^ (at least when it comes to any other movies featuring dinosaurs, anyway). That first scene with the Brachiosaurus is one of my most favourite movie moments ever. It's just pure 'magic', as far as I'm concerned. The wonder, the little dash of humour and the MUSIC (the music is so perfect) just all comes together to create an 'iconic' movie scene, as far as I'm concerned. And it's my love for the Brachiosaurus (who was always my favourite ever since I was real young) that ensures I will never check out Jurassic Wotld: Fallen Kingdom (it's bad enough having been told what happens). As much of a fan as I am of Bryce Dallas Howard, no way am I sitting through that. Maybe one day I might record it and just fast-forward, but not any time soon. I still marvel at the work that went into bringing the dinosaurs to life onscreen in the original JP movie. The chase scene with the T-Rex I always found to be mind-boggling, as I thought the movements of it were too fluid for an animatronic...but at the same time I thought it looked far to 'solid'/'real' to be CGI, and consequently I could never figure out which of those it was - and that, to me, is the mark of truly genius CGI/animatronic work (to blur the lines between the two until you can't tell which it is). I haven't really liked any of the sequels ( Jurassic World has come closest to being a sequel that I actually enjoyed, but I still have a few problems with it). The original JP is still my 'gold standard' for dinosaur films that I don't think will be surpassed anytime in the near future.

After Fallen Kingdom I kinda hoped they would stop these. I mean you already know the third one will suck more than JP3 and that is something no-one wants. Dinosaur movies are a thing of the past.

Honestly, I think JP3 is tied with the original for quality, and I prefer the "World" movies over the original JP trilogy as a whole. I have to disagree with Dinosaur movies being a thing of a past. People love dinosaurs, and there's always going to be Dinosaur movies.

Live action Dino-Riders seems like the next logical step.

Tremendous movie. My favorite from Stephen Spielbergo. I have loved it since I was tiny squid in the first grade.
It scared me then though!
THR DINOSAURS ARE RUNNING WILD!

Tremendous movie. My favorite from Stephen Spielbergo. I have loved it since I was tiny squid in the first grade. It scared me then though! THR DINOSAURS ARE RUNNING WILD! That movie had such a massive impact. It was in people’s bones. There was legitimate talk about how possible it was across culture in general it was that impactful. And it looked so damn good that it still looks good. Jurassic Park IMO is a landmark film in cinema history, no matter how short you want to make the list. It defines the theater experience like Star Wars, and Indiana Jones and only a handful of others have done.
