Obviously Wandavision didn't follow a single thing anyone, whether here or elsewhere online, theorized about the show. Maybe we should give theorizing a rest for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and every future MCU project. Because it obviously ain't doing any good.

The thing is, there are people proclaiming Wandavision to be the worst thing ever because it didn't go by their fan theories. They didn't get Foxverse Quicksilver, and so they're denouncing it. So yeah, I think fans really let the fan theories go way too wild and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier could suffer a similar fate if the same thing happens.

We were trolled by the actors 😂 Ralph Bohner lol If Evan Peters as Ralph Bohner becomes our new "cameo guy", but with the added twist that he's some poor sap who just keeps getting wrapped up in superhero business much to his chagrin and abject terror, I'd be completely okay with that.

I do think that people should lower expectations. A friend of mine currently hates Wandavision with a passion because Mephisto and House of M didn't happen.
I just hope that there aren't people out there who believe in that Wolverine cameo rumor for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

I'm glad that most of the fan theories did not pan out. The majority of them were hackneyed and silly. It was like listening to a small child plan out their imaginary day.
"After I leave the playground, Mom is going take me to my rocket ship. It's in my backyard. I will fly into outer space and meet Albert Einstien. When we meet, we will have lunch at Applebee's --- on the moon."
It's the theories that promised to destroy the MCU continuity that were the most irritating.
Some people are calling the "Bohner" reveal a Mandarin-level deception on the part of Marvel Studios. Hee hee hee... I sincerely hope Kevin Feige continues his epic troll on the fans who think there is room for the Fox-Men or the Sonyverse in the MCU --- because there isn't.
Rampant speculation is almost as divisive as the fringe conspiracy theories we're struggling with in the States. No, just because Anya Taylor-Joy wore a green dress to the Golden Globe awards, that does not automatically mean she has been cast as Polaris in the MCU.

Guessing what will happen in a series that you follow is fun. It doesn’t ruin anything and it certainly doesn’t threaten the existence of the actual series. Saying otherwise is just a symptom of taking fandom far too seriously. Yeah, I said it.

I'm kinda disappointed Mephy didn't happen, too, because he'd have been a cool new long-term villain and perhaps even a good rival for Loki in the longterm. That said, Wandavision is good. I see how they're setting up Doctor Strange 2 and that's good enough.

I'll admit, for a second, you almost had me believing it. Bullet dodged.

You were right there, happily chatting with him when it happened. LDM’s post was a clear trolling of a member and you were enabling/encouraging him. I’m honestly tired of that kind of shit on these sites so I was just pointing it out. As for now I’d advise you to cool it. I’m not looking to fight with you here and I don’t want to be the catalyst for your banning. You're right. I'll delete my part in that.

You're right. I'll delete my part in that. And just to be clear I don’t think anything you guys did was over the line, per se- and certainly not deserving of punishment. I just know the histories of everyone and could foresee a dark path. Charzino barely posts here. He doesn’t really deserve a call out on his very rare posts. I think we should both take this into account, Lord Death Man, and maybe erase the Charzhino tag from your post?

Its like I said yesterday.
Speculating should be kept to what could happen. If you cross the line to would or should you will often end up dissapointed and even angry. And thats on you. Not the creators

On further note Lord Death Man please adjust your post so it doesnt call out another member of the board. People really need to cool it a bit. Lately there is a little too much rubbing each other the wrong way going around. Thats not why we created this place. And make no mistake, AQUA JAR!™ or me will step in if there is need for that. We love you all and hate see people get kicked out. Dont let that happen. We're all fans here.

There is nothing wrong with fan theories, or with posting them.
That's pretty much the point of a movie discussion board.

And be appreciative of the content we are getting in these tough times. It may not always be what you want but its still better than nothing. And if someone has a different opinion be aware that that is exactly the point of Sakaar. If we all think the same we can close this place down.

And let's be honest, until you have seen the entire movie or series... everything is a fan theory.

Fan Theories and speculation is fine. It's normal to do, especially with a series that releases weekly.
The problem is some people convinced themselves that it's 100% happening and set themselves up for disappointment.
And usually this leads into a toxic situation within fandoms.

Trying to predict what's going to happen in a pre-written presentation is mostly lame, in my opinion. Wildly speculative guessing only amounts to fan fiction that you're too lazy to write. If you're saying that you would like a favorite character to appear in a series that you watch or that you hope some particular event unfolds a certain way, that's fine. Trying to retroactively predict what happened in a writer's room nearly a year before the series even filmed is embarrassing. As evidenced by WandaVision's season finale being the lowest rated of the series, it's also harmful to fandom.

A writer's room meeting that happening before the pandemic and when the Fox buyout had only just happened, at that. Everyone watching the MCU should be aware that the series philosophy is to take its time and be satisfying in the long run rather than giving out short-lived instant gratification.

A writer's room meeting that happening before the pandemic and when the Fox buyout had only just happened, at that. Everyone watching the MCU should be aware that the series philosophy is to take its time and be satisfying in the long run rather than giving out short-lived instant gratification. The Marvel Studios philosophy is also to keep things simple when and wherever possible. The movies have tended to shy away from the deep convolutions of the source material. Rampant fan speculation, which I believe is born out of fans' repressed imaginations, creates unrealistic expectations of the franchise. If you have an idea involving 75 of your favorite obscure Marvel characters showing up in a five-hour TV show, please feel free to write it yourself. If Mephostophiles lives under your pillow and talks to you at night, I won't judge because he talks to me too. Hee hee hee... Rampant speculation makes people who would otherwise be nameless and faceless fans like the rest of us feel like they have a creator-level stake in the process. You feel more important when you can successfully guess what Jac Schaeffer decided on in a soundproof room with her colleagues years before her work was released to the public. Add in what she had for breakfast that day, and you might get promoted to become an intermediary between the fans and the creator gods. You will become one of the chosen few worthy of explaining things to everyone else in worthless breakdowns and um-and-ah free analyses. Luckily, there are still fans out there that are decent enough to share their thoughts and feelings about the stories they read and watch. Healthy conjecture that doesn't involve self-contained parallel narratives and fantastic leaps in logic promotes discourse; save the worthless theory-crafting for your basement corkboard. The MCU is so popular it's becoming a fanthropological phenomenon. It's the "Endgame of fandom." Sometimes, I wish we could go back to the days of being a small thing without the stans, spoiler alerts, cultists, tubers, canonists, anti-fans, politifans, a mosquitos, my libidos, etc., etc. ad infinitum amen.
