It looks as awfull as the first one. Thanks for saving me from being the first to have to say it. LOL! I understand that these films have a certain appeal to a certain segment of the audience - but man - I just don't get it — the Venom making breakfast gag feels destined to become the new emo Spider-Man 3 meme. I'm going to live and let live on this one.

It looks as awfull as the first one. I didn’t get anything out of it. They try to execute Cletus and somehow he’s gotten symbioted? I’m wondering if there’s any more to it than that. Seriously, there might not be. It’s 50/50. Also for the record that news paper article that you can read ENGERS on. Assuming it does say Avengers, is that Sony’s attempt to pretend they can play in somebody else’s sandbox? Or does it just say passENGERS?

The Daily Bugle masthead seen in the trailer is from one of the old Spider-Man films, right? It's certainly not the new Far From Home banner. So which universe are we in, Sony? The answer is we don't know, and who cares? I'm glad that Sony is doing well with Venom. In fact, as an MCU fan, it's in my best interest that Venom become as massively popular as it can possibly be. It looks like Sony is SLOWLY starting to forget a certain web crawler in favor of their shiny new anti-hero. Maybe Venom can proxy for Spider-Man in the Sonyverse?

Someone had a helluva time ironing out the bite marks from all the scene-chewing. Harrelson looks like he’s having a ball.

Campea is a fanboy and rightfully so haha. Oh yeah I forgot he mentioned that detail before. Did you guys know that? That some cinemas use their lightbulbs only at 60% brightness to save money on them but they're not meant to? So in effect some films appear darker than they actually are..
That stained glass visual reminds me of the Loki/Mephisto one. Interesting

It got pushed back into October 15th. If it pushed back again I fully expect Spider-man No Way Home to get pushed back as well.

Well I for one welcome Venom into the MCU. I think he will make a wonderful addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

Can't watch the video… work and all… but let me guess. He either had "a blast" or "a ball" watching the second film? The look on his face in the thumbnail saves you the effort of watching…

“Venom” Sequel Targets $50M+ Opening By Garth FranklinThursday, September 30th 2021 6:52 am Venom Sequel Moves Up To October 1st Sony Pictures Following multiple delays, Sony and Marvel’s comic book adaptation “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” finally arrives in theaters on Friday and is estimated to be headed for a $50 million opening weekend.
The film marks the first real blockbuster release since Marvel Studios’ “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” four weeks ago, and so those estimates may not hold with some suggesting sales could go as high as $65 million, while Sony is playing it conservative with a projection closer to $40 million.
Several things are in its favor. The film is playing only in theaters and so won’t hit issues of sustainability that seems to impact day-and-date releases. Its PG-13 rating means it will avoid some of the problems the R-rated “The Suicide Squad” encountered, while still pulling in the young male demographic which is the one returning to cinemas the most.
Better still the movie is clocking in at a 75% (5.9/10) rating on Rotten Tomatoes, a VAST improvement on the 30% (4.5/10) of its predecessor. Its competition this weekend also goes for different demographics with “The Addams Family 2” tracking for a $15-17 million opening while “The Sopranos” prequel film “The Many Saints of Newark” is expected to arrive with a little under $10 million.

So… that happened.
End credits scene is a jump the shark moment for the genre. In the immortal words of Henry Hill, "this… was the bad time."

I seriously didn’t even realize this came out
Just checking out the initial reactions, it doesn’t look good, which is not only unsurprising after the first one, but really makes me wonder why anybody would still be looking forward to Morbius or anything that pretends to be connected to the MCU. Sony simply continues to not earn that level of respect IMO
