The CW has renewed its hit new series “Superman & Lois” for a second season, the renewal coming after the show has aired just one episode.
The numbers were strong for the show though with the pilot debuting to 1.75 million total viewers – the network’s largest audience in the Tuesday timeslot in two years.

Superman and Lois will go on hiatus for 2 months at the end of March and Supergirl season 6 will premier in that slot on March 30.

I'm sorry to see the negative hype for this show. It's the most interesting Superman show I've seen to date. It finally does something different from re-telling the origin or retreading the Superboy/Smallville timeframe.
I have to say, IMO, Tyler Hoechlin is the best Superman since Christopher Reeve.
I wasn't crazy about the actress for Lois, but she won me over. I also like how she looks older, as this is the story of a Superman years into his marriage with Lois, and this demonstrates how Clark/Kal-El ages slower than she does.
All in all, this one is a win for me so far.

Well, except for Supergirl...let's just pretend it doesnt exist...not canon in superhero shows or reality itself for that matter So theres Smallville, Krypton and now this. I believe Lois and Clark was received well? I only ever watched the pilot and thought that was pretty good

That could have potential. Not that I'm bragging but I'm kind of a sucker for a lot of things Superman represents. I find his disposition interesting both on a big budget level and moderate budget cable TV level. So many possibilities open up once Superman's in the mix. He's not even my favorite character and I've seen/read a small fraction of the Superman material out there, but something about his existence sets my imagination on fire.
So, I'll take a look. For a Superman, any actor just has to nail the face. I appreciate and respect what Henry Cavill did with his body, but as long as you're slim and have resting nobility face, special effects will take care of the rest.

I gave up on this, did it ever get better? I thought it was great all the way through. The finale was a bit rushed though Further, apparently it turns out HBO had quite a hand in this

The first episode of season 2 was pretty good. The only problem I have with it is now we appear to have a third whining complaining teenager to deal with.

Shame. From what I saw of him in Season 1 of the show, he seemed like the 'stronger' of the two actors playing the brothers. I'm surprised they didn't just write his character out and give all his screentime to the 'third whining complaining teenager' who was added at the end of the first season.
