Is there a thread for newbies to TWD where I can ask burning questions, or is this about something else, like its contribution to mankind?
Cuz, first off, pump the brakes Rick. You're kinda an over-actor.
And, Neegan? Granted, only so much I've seen, but I way dig him. Sure, he's had some psychopathic moments, but as far as I can see, EVERY survivor has upped their murderous tendencies without regret. I mean, in a zombie apocalypse, with opportunistic (or just plain scared-shitless) survivors, hard to apply 'normal' values to that scenario.
I just wonder how in the United States, how anyone is lacking a gun or explosive when those items way outnumber humans, which have been culled to a nub. Sure, Germany? I'd believe they'd have a hard time busting in a house and found nd ing an AR-Whatever, but, the USA? In the SOUTH? Get the fuck outa here....

She put in more than her fair share of time on the show, and she was excellent in the role. She deserves to get on with her career.

I don't remember how far I got with Fear the Walking Dead but I remember a boat. Probably only like season 2 or so. Maybe Ill go back to it if I get stuck for something to watch.

She WAS excellent in the role (and I don't think enough people appreciated that). As to the second thing you said...um...I don't recall saying that she didn't deserve to get on with her career? I was merely saying that she was my reason for watching a show I became fairly bored with and now it'll be easy to stop watching it once she's left as I won't really have anything to keep me watching. I hope she goes onto bigger and better things.

It was more of an observation that I feel, some more bitter fans, need to acknowledge.

I read it as me being one of the people you thought felt that way, whereas I actually feel the same way as you - that she's more than earned herself the right to move on from FTWD and explore new projects.

I understand that this is AMC's most popular series and their biggest money maker, but it's honestly ridiculous how many spin-offs have been made so far with Walking Dead.
I'm also surprised that the movie was scrapped. I figured they would try a theatrical film out to see how much money they could make from it.

I don't actually watch the show, but from what I heard even loyal viewers seemed to be getting fed up with the show...so maybe they were worried not enough people would go to see a film and they'd lose major money. Maybe it's 'safer' to do a six-episode series?

So I saw the pilot of that anthology series, Tales of The Walking Dead and it was pretty awesome. It starred both Olivia Munn and Terry Crews as the leads

I never read the comics and only watched the show up to the end of Season 3...because that's where they stopped with it being on free-to-air TV here. I always imagined the last episode would end with The Cranberries' song 'Zombie' being played, since this show was so adamant about not using the word 'zombie' (which always annoyed me).

The reason behind that is because the Walking Dead is set in universe where the zombie concept never existed and its not popularized in their pop culture before the Undead apocalypse.

I read Walking Dead comics for a while…before the show was announced even…but I never did finish them. Like the show they kind of struggled to find something new to do with characters that didn’t feel derivative of previous ones.
