I'm glad they're putting Secret Invasion on Disney+.
The events of that series likely couldn't be effectively compressed into a single movie or into two movies without nerfing it beyond recognition. I say this knowing full well that you can get a twelve-issue series like Infinity War into two long films - more or less. But who has another four to five years to wait for that? I don't know about you guys, but I ain't getting any younger.
Secret Invasion had a crazy amount of tie-ins (some that were arguably better than the mainline series itself). It would be nice to see that story stretched out over a series of weekly episodes instead of having to wait years for it to unfold.
The "who-goes-there?" gimmick has already been done to a certain extend - and quite well - with the MCU version of Secret Empire (which spilled over into AoS). While Secret Invasion might be more colorful and louder, I don't think it would be functionally different. It sort of feels like a retread thematically. ...Although, Secret Invasion could power a marketing machine to end all marketing machines (much like the comic did).
Taking one of the larger "Secret" series and dropping it on Disney+ demonstrates a commitment to the platform not being solely about throwaway side adventures.
Now, if Secret WARS ends up on Disney+ - that would be a missed opportunity due to the cosmic-level antics in that storyline. Plus - I must see the Battleworld assembled on the big screen.

The Disney+ machine is in high gear. Secret Invasion is going to be catnip for fan speculators. Who is the Skrull of the week? Your moms! Hee hee hee... This show is going to be awesome.

You’re right about the tie ins to that series. Between it and civil war, the ties ins largely became must have components of the event
For this, I love that it’s a show that looks to lead into a film. But I’m wondering where else we might see this pop up.
