I am almost done with season 3. It has been awesome so far Season 3 was one of my favourite, as was its season final which just so happened to guest star pre- Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Adrianne Palicki (who became my main celebrity crush for all of the 2000s). What'd you think of the first three seasons? Which one did you like the best? Who are your favourite characters in the show? Any episodes stand out to you as your 'favourites' or 'least favourites'? And most importantly...have you started a drinking game, taking a drink every time Lex's 'security' fails to do their job keeping intruders out of the Luthor Mansion? I'm guessing the answer is 'no', since if you had, you would've died from alcohol poisoning by now. I found Season 4 a bit 'iffy', but thought the show bounced back with Season 5, then dipped again in quality with Season 6...but Season 7 brings in Laura Vandervoort and...well...that's all that needs to be said.

Oh I didn't even realize she was in the series. I have like 3 episodes to go. In fact I am about to watch episode 20 right now. So far I have really liked the majority of episodes. The last episode I watched where Lex was starting to remember things from his childhood I didn't really care for though it had a very important revelation in it. Hard for me to really pick a favorite season or favorite episode though since I have enjoyed nearly all of it. I will post my thoughts after each season probably. That is really bizarre how seemingly anybody can just walk right into the mansion.

I didn't realise you had a few episodes to go, otherwise I wouldn't have talked about the Season 3 final in my post. Well...at least I didn't spoil too much (aside from the opening scene). I'm just glad I didn't say anything else about the episode. Please accept my sincerest apologies.

I just didn't realize it was that same actress.

That season 4 Lois Lane was hot. I did not want to see her leave the show. I didn't know it was humanly possible for anybody to self C-block as much as Clark did. But then again, he is not human

Though they probably overdid it with her rand made her a little bit too badass and she looked and acted like a 26 year old and not a teenager.

But, really, NONE of the characters who were supposed to be teenagers even vaguely resembled actual teenagers in that show. Clark was supposed to be fourteen in Season 1, for crying out loud (on a show about aliens and superheroes - that was the hardest thing to believe). At least Lois was meant to be a bit older than the others.

They were portraying her like a a sophomore in College

They were portraying her like a a sophomore in College Heh, 'Lana hooking up with that older guy'. I know you mean Jason Teague, as played by pre- Supernatural Jensen Ackles (which seems like FOREVER ago now). I thought his character was presented as a pretty decent guy (when it was obvious his main purpose for existing was to be yet another roadblock in the long line of roadblocks on the way to Clark and Lana ever getting together). I think Jensen's natural charm/likability helped make Jason feel more like a 'real' character than Jocko Whitney ever did back in Season 1 (funnily enough, I've been seeing Eric Johnson who played Whitney in the show in lots of other things since and he's actually able to give pretty decent performances when he's not playing a cardboard cutout character like he was in Smallville. I'd recommend checking out The Knick to see him paly someone truly detestable...though he plays it well). I'll spoiler tag this just in case you haven't finished Season 4 as yet (don't wish to make the same mistake as I did with Season 3's final ). {Spoiler}It's a shame that by the end of Season 4 the writers decided to make a sharp turn with Jason's character and have him devolve into cartoonish over-the-top villainy. After watching him play the same character for FIFTEEN SEASONS of Supernatural, I'll be glad to finally see Jensen playing a new/different role in Season 3 of The Boys.

And you did not ruin anything for me for season 3 finale . I am actually like halfway through season 4. That dude is a pretty likable character and by this point I feel like they have swerved me so much with the Clark and Lana thing that I stopped caring and was glad to see her happy with somebody else. I have never seen Eric Johnson in anything else but thought he did a good job in the first season. He became pretty cool at the end of the season. When I was home from work for 6 months I caught up on a lot of episodes on various things but lately I have kind of stalled on everything with being busy with work lately. Then on the weekends I don't even feel like watching anything and plus the chatroom on Saturday takes up the whole night

Then on the weekends I don't even feel like watching anything and plus the chatroom on Saturday takes up the whole night I have more unwatched DVDs than I can count (I keep buying new ones when they're on special/a good price, despite already having so many that I have yet to watch. I'm always worried that ones I want will be sold out by the time I want to get them - which has happened before). I recently finished watching a show on DVD that was just one season, and now I think I'll get back to watching Season 2 of Anne with an E on DVD (which I'd watched the first two episodes of...but then got sidetracked by something else I wanted to watch - that's half my problem. I have so many shows to watch on DVD/Blu-ray that I don't really know where to begin. In some cases I have multiple seasons of a show which I haven't even started yet. I'm all over the place, jumping from one genre to another. It almost gives me whiplash to go from sweet innocent Anne with an E to super-violent The Boys, for example). I thought Eric Johnson did the best he could with the material he was given in Smallville, but it really shows how much he was being held back by the writing of that show when you see him in other things. He plays a really good bad guy. If you can handle some grisly surgical scenes, I'd highly recommend The Knick which also stars Clive Owen. It was only two seasons, but they were two really good seasons.

I really would rather stream at this point and not buy anymore dvd's because they already take up a full cabinet but unfortunately I have to buy discs on some things because that is the only way to get them. I watch more of the older shows than newer ones. I try not to jump around on series too much because then I don't have to make decisions and just watch what is next on the lineup. But I just have not been motivated to watch anything. I just lay in bed and watch youtube videos and the podcast here lately this week.

I am having a hard time getting excited about season 4. Clark has no friends, no love interests, and no life really. Yeah, I've found that quite a few shows have an average fourth season and I too thought Season 4 was a bit of a letdown after Season 3 (which was one of my favourites). There was some good stuff here and there during the fourth season, though. Anyway, hang in there until Season 5 - things improve quite a bit in that season (it's another one of my favourites). And when has Clark ever had a life? He spends most of it obsessing over Lana.

the last few episodes were pretty good. He hooked up with that pyscho girl who was reformed and that was unfortunate the way that ended.

Not only was she gorgeous, but she was more interesting than Lana (you've still got several seasons of Clark/Lana angst to wade through).

This is easily one of my top three adaptations of Superman.
I also rewatched an episode not long ago and realized how much I miss Clark and Lex's bromance.

The arrowverse Superman dude is ball-less and weak
