Im also sad I feel this way. I love the MCU and all Marvel Studios has done so far. And I was looking forward to Loki after those trailers. But I just dont like it so far. I will say I’m finding this one sort of interesting to contemplate what might be deception. I feel like there’s a big deception going on either from Sylvie or Loki or both. I watched a Jeremy Jahns vid and he proposed the idea that we could be in Loki's mind right now and Sylvie is having her way with him. Although I somehow doubt that. It is possible though I had a thought during the vid, what if Sylvie is neither a Loki or Enchantress? She could be another villain, like what if Hela survived? Apparently she can cast illusions too Obviously Sylvie could just also be who she says she is

Laminitis 1 was great, but I did have some minor problems with it. I'll discuss my specific issues on the upcoming podcast. Now that the show is dabbling in sexual politics/identity, I can't help but wonder about a few things. It's clear - to me at least - that while she may share her name, Sylvie is not the Enchantress of the comic books. The decision to cannibalize the character for the sake of creating an alias for a non-prime Loki is unfortunate, in my opinion. One could argue that the path forward with Enchantress was already a dead end, given that DC debuted a character with the same name and a similar theme in Suicide Squad. "Sylvie" seems hell-bent on distancing herself from her previous identity as Loki. At first, I thought her attitude resulted from her renegade spirit or some form of strident rebelliousness. Who wants to be a Loki in a multiverse full of them? Upon closer consideration, her defiance seems more in line with that of a Wachowski sister distancing herself from a biological sex assignment. I'm beginning to suspect that Sylvie was born a male Loki and performed a magical sex reassignment to distinguish herself from the rest of the male Lokis. Interesting

Maybe she actually is old curmudgeon Loki? Interesting I will say I think they can get her back to a more traditional Enchantress although I don’t think they’re apt to show her being as hedonistic as she says she is. I don't want this to come across the wrong way, but it would be weird if the MCU's Enchantress ends up being a gender-reassigned Loki. I'm okay with a Loki choosing to be a woman, but I see no solid narrative reason for them to want to distance themselves from their identity as Loki. That's a runabout rejection of the character in my mind. Since we don’t know the ending yet, we don’t know how “Sylvie” plays out. I think in the comics she is a human whom Loki imbues with the Enchantress’s spirit and magical power, however 2012 Loki has just met her, so either Sylvie here is a either composite character or there is a third Loki (the postman?) who is the running the show, controlling the former Sylvie Lushton and 2012 Loki from a distance. Or this could all be going down inside Loki’s head as he exists in suspended animation in the bowels of the TVA.

Asgardian. And did you catch the Cary Grant impression? “I’m taking this one to Schroo.” No, not old enough methinks haha. Apparently it was Norwegian It might really be Norwegian, but the closed captioning says “Asgardian.”

I'm inclined to think Sylvie is a Loki who rejects, either physically or symbolically, her identity as a Loki. Episode number 4 will be crucial in unwinding this mystery and maintaining the overall momentum of the show for me. Laminitis 1 wasn't bad, but I feel it slowed down the pace considerably, and it desperately needed "more cowbell" in the form of Mobeus M. Mobeus. The Di Martino/Hiddleston chemistry doesn't have the same magic as the Hiddleston/Wilson pairing. There is new advertising out where we (supposedly) see Sylvie as a child, and she is a female with long dark hair.

Leave the call out bullshit at IMDb.2 Thats not entirely accurate but Ill leave it alone for obvious reasons lol. I was actually genuinely interested to hear what you had to say on the matter I’m fine with it. I’ve never hidden my Tom Huddleston crush. If he wasn’t playing Loki, there’s a chance I wouldn’t be watching this because I’ve hated the evil character since I was a kid and read the Thor comics. I think in addition to the joy some see in a bisexual Loki, some are probably more interested in Huddleston’s sexuality that lurks behind the reveal of a character we already know is gay. That aside, I don’t think Marvel/Disney will depict any homosexual canoodling since they’re fairly chased with any heterosexual depictions.

If it’s more like what I’m thinking about her being Loki reborn, and then growing up as her own individual, then, maybe? IDK enough about her to say but Iam thinking she’s more or less entirely different

So, she thinks she's manipulating him but in the final episode we get a Clue reveal of the whole story which includes his manipulations to guide things towards his goals. My mind is aglow with whirling transient nodes of thought careening through a cosmic vapor of invention.

Thought: Sylvie/Loki is a plant or specter being used to draw 2012 Loki out of the TVA to either kill him or lure him into the nexus event for some reason. She maybe under the spell of the “postman.” My prediction for ep. 4’s opening scene, aside from Möbius or Ravonna snatching him back, in his uncontrollable rage, he pushes the colliding moon back into orbit saving the planet. He already raised a building by looking at it.
And her reference makes me think of the Kevin Costner movie The Postman.

Not so sure about that

I've watched the episode three times, and I believe Sylvie is a Loki with traits derived from the second Enchantress of the comic books. If Sylvie is the Entranchess and not a Loki, then Mobius' assertion that the TVA is trying to apprehend another "Loki" variant is a pointless red herring. That wouldn't sit right with me as good storytelling unless there were an incredibly good reason behind the misdirect. So, yeah...

Anyone's guess really

Anyone's guess really Why wouldn't the TVA be fully aware of her identity? Mobius said he'd studied nearly every minute of 2012 Loki's life. Her body-highjacking abilities might make it more challenging to locate her, but it shouldn't render her entirely invisible. It would be understandable if the TVA could not apprehend her, or even determine her gender, but if they can't even identify her as a Loki, that seems kind of suspect. Honestly, the more I think about it, the writing becomes less and less compelling because this "Enchantress" mystery is taking all of the narrative focus off of Loki. He's starting to feel like a supporting player in his own story. Is he just along for the ride with "Enchantress" on her big mission to destroy the TVA? I hope they resolve this Enchantress mystery by the next episode because I don't find it engaging. She either is or isn't, in my mind. Either way, we need to get back to the 2012 Loki's story.

A quick wiki read would likely explain it better, but generally a future him sets up his own training to become his future self. It was a fun story.

Well, she is technically a "criminal". As in real life, some are very cunning. The authorities knowing about them go from undetected to knowing everything about them Not really, as we and certain other people are choosing to focus on the various theories. Still very much the Loki show imo
